The Incredibles (2004)

Pros
  • Dash is comedy gold, he has the perfect attitude for boys his age, it's dead on
  • Very funny movie, not just for kids, but people of all ages, the humor reaches a broad spectrum
  • Edna Mode is zany and hilarious, a standout supporting character
  • Just a brilliant story all around, a superhero struggling with an ordinary person's everyday life
  • The movie does not disappoint with the revelation of Jack Jack's powers at the end of the film
  • Carly, the babysitter!
  • Funny seeing an out of shape, struggling 'superhero' living an ordinary life, yet doing the best he can to serve the people
  • Basically, each character plays their part perfectly, it's a diverse family, but also a very typical family at the same time
  • The highlights of the film are when the family is fighting with each other, struggling with everyday problems and constant bickering with one another
  • The scene where Dash is running in a track race at the end of the movie with his parents yelling at him to 'make it close' from within the crowd is classic!
  • "We're dead, we're dead! We survived, but we're dead!"
  • NO CAPES! (crazy that the voice of Edna is the director Brad Bird.....a male)
  • The sequel is finally on its way and thankfully Brad Bird is still going to be the director!

Score: 10/10

The Incredibles is one of the best superhero movies of all time, live action or animation! This is a smart comedy with plenty of entertainment for people of all age, that is the brilliance behind the movie, both children and adults can find enjoyment here. This is Pixar at the top of its game, its only too bad they have fallen off the wagon a bit with their more recent movies. The Incredibles is second to only one other Pixar film, Finding Nemo.

    1. Thanks Jordan! I've always had a soft spot for this movie. Its not too childish but still has that charm to it! This and Finding Nemo are my top Pixar movies. Unfortunately they are in a pretty bad slump right now...
