Toy Story 3 (2010)

  • Big Baby is surprisingly terrifying, like super intense and creepy!
  • Woody has proven to be a phenomenal movie hero
  • Top notch voice overs, especially Tom Hanks and Tim Allen bring their characters to life
  • Sad, but funny Buster (the dog) scene
  • One of the most emotionally packed movies in years (which is surprising given
  • A truly perfect ending to an amazing trilogy (though they have confirmed Toy Story 4 is now on the way)
  • Ken is the standout character, plenty of hilarious scenes and great dialogue (Michael Keaton is fantastic here)
  • Ken's fashion montage
  • The CGI and colors look gorgeous
  • You know a movie is special when the creators make you truly care for something as simple as a  piece of plastic
  • "The Clawwww!"
  • Obviously Woody and Buzz are great, but the supporting characters are phenomenal & hilarious as well
  • It's always exciting to watch a prison breakout scene, especially this one with comedic undertones
  • The opening flashback sequence is brilliant and everything a child's imagination truly is
  • The 3rd animated movie ever to be nominated for the 'Best Picture Oscar'

  • Some might not like its darker tone

Score: 10/10

Pixar has created one of the greatest animated movies of all time, as well as one of the most heartfelt! Toy Story 3 concludes one of the greatest trilogies of all time and this movie just may be the best of the three!

Toy Story 3 (2010) on IMDb

  1. Toy Story really is one of the strongest trilogies in cinematic history when you think about it.

It just saddens me that Pixar seems to have lost a little bit of their magic since this one. Brave wasn't anything special and neither was Monsters University. Meanwhile Disney Animation created the immensely wonderful Wreck-it Ralph (one of my favorites) and Frozen. Hopefully Pixar can get that quality back before Finding Dory and Incredibles 2.

    Great review!

    1. It really is, and what is really impressive is the time between the 3 and the how the quality remained! 1995 to 2010 is a long time! But I definitely agree that Pixar has gone down hill, Toy Story 3 was the last great movie they made, Monster's University was quite dull! Their upcoming 'Inside Out' sounds very interesting, I have no idea how they will pull it off, but I hope they do a great job. And of course I have HUGE expectations for Finding Dory! Thanks Jordan!
